Hatha Yoga

Wendy’s Hatha Flow Yoga classes are mixed ability, all are welcome from complete beginners through to the more experienced practitioner.

Generally the class will begin with a short period of relaxation and breath awareness to centre and move into the present before beginning any physical posture work (asana).

After warming up, the main part of the class will be asana, these can be performed both statically and dynamically, generally working towards a peak posture and always synchronising movement with breath. The class will include some breathing practices (pranayama) or seated concentration/meditation before ending with a guided relaxation.

Wendy believes it is important to work with both strength and active flexibility to promote balance within the body. Although her classes are sometimes challenging, options are given throughout allowing everyone to work at a level they are comfortable with.
